This makes me sick. Our judicial system has lost it's value in so many ways. Frivilous lawsuits are rampant, and jduges seem oblivious to the fact that a ruling in an individual case has a social impact.
Bah, no point ranting.
Forget the judge. Can you imagine that guy going to the hospital that night, telling his wife or girlfriend about what happened, walking into work the next day and having everyone ask if he was attacked by a stripper's shoe?
Talk about karma. No amount of money he may win can buy back the dignity this guy lost. Besides, he got his 15 minutes, which might be more than he would have given whoever he was going home to.
I'm not a big proponent of frivilous lawsuits myself but I tend to lean more to David's comments. I really shouldn't have laughed but really...This is not a story you want to take home to your wife. Although, in these tight economic times - $15.000?
